i have a D&D on my bike. I cut it down so it wasn't so dorky and i took out the insulation / packing. Sounds SWEET as hell. But nice bike

Is that all you have done as far as modifications!! My RF900R is all Modded out with Spike bar ends, swingarm spike sliders, blue flush mount turn signals, both front and rear tires are new, new mirrors, 10'' extended swingarm lowering links, yoshi exhaust with the baffle taken out, ect.

@jakrabit2010 Thats when it wasnt in the shop. Got a staged jet kit and street cut tranny in it now. I really just use it to toodle around town in, not really race, its more comfort than race currently.

I call BS on the tranny part. you can add a 6th gear but you cannot get a street cut tranny. maybe they cut the gears down so they dont slip...(the dogs) ive been in and out of mine several times working with the tranny to sink over 6k into a transmission, its not gonna happen... not on this bike!

Im a mechanic, i get parts for free, ive got HOURS into my transmission!

Its not. I had my buddy who owns a shop in Az talk to me about it and got the gears cut for street, not track style. Which you should have called BS on, as its not "street cut" its more like "track cut" so the gears dont slip and engage quicker for more accurate shifting. You have 6k into your tranny, and you get parts for free? Explain that one to me. Just because you're a mechanic doesnt mean anything. Your own post shot yourself in the foot.

I've got an rf900 too and yes, I've heard MANY people getting their trannies street cut. Stupid 2nd gear failures for everyone!

Hey didn't mean to sound like a smart ass when I made that post!! I do have a link coming up, of my bike ive got the plastics back off this winter goin to repainting the plastics better!!
