From a film in London in 1964 we see and hear the tune Centerpiece played by Coleman Hawkins on tenor sax and Harry Sweets Edison on trumpet. Pianist is Sir Charles Thompson and drummer is Jo Jones. I cant recall the name of the bassist.

its funny the difference between rock and jazz bass. Rock you just play roots and maybe a 5th or two, but in jazz you have to really know what your doing.

You can't beat a good trumpet sound over an electric guitar solo. It gives me one of those natural 'drug free' highs. It's good to hear the original by the way!

@Johnoooh It was on youtube before the giggle brothers bought it. I loved it and suddenly it was gone (like Gerry Muligans prelude in e minor, Chopin), citing

royalty difficulties, but thanks to bob erwig, the canadian cornettists, its back. Its a brilliant blues.
