With a VRII? AND D7000? I mean come on man. I shoot with an old D300 and an 80-200 AF-D and I get punchier images.
Also sports photography tip: always have the ball in the action shots. Sorry if I seemed harsh.

Great looking pictures. I just upgraded from a D90 to the D7000 and look forward to shooting a High School game this week with my NEW D7000. I have the Nikon 70-200mm VR first version lens. Two questions: 1. What Shutter speed and ISO settings did you use for these shots? 2. Did you use a monopod? Thanks for sharing!

Well RTB, since I am a Newb, and maybe it shows but I'm not offended. I expect criticism, when posting material on Youtube, but come on... at least be worthy. Pat yourself on the back for your punchier images... Some I saw were very nice, and some, well... not so much. Maybe videography is more your speed... For me, its just a hobby my friend. Sorry if I was equally as harsh.

Thanks, I shot this game shutter at 1250, ISO at 6400, with no noise. Fine tune the EV at +5. I found these settings gave the best results. I used a monopod, and manual focus. Just make sure you adjust the switch on the front of the body from AF to MF. If the field you will be shooting at has better lighting than where I shot, then make the necessary adjustments. HS fields typically do not provide sufficient lighting for action shots. Good luck, and let me know how it goes.
