Shimano SPD m515 pedal.
Servicing the bearings, disassembly, clean, grease, reassemble.
If you are able to service the pedal, I mean if you have tools and some experience taking things apart and putting it all back together correctly or it might be better to just buy new pedals. I have 20,000 miles on this set of pedals and they still spin smoothly. The cleats are wearing out though. might be time for new pedals. Read more below.

Youtube video or film that solves the problem of how to maintain your Shimano 105 spd pedals, hope this helps somebody.

  • That is a good question.

I thought of that myself on the second one I didn't disassemble it.

But on disassembly of the first one, there is wear evidence, with pitting

on the inner bearing race(spindle) and spalling on some of the bearings.

I figure it is bound to wear out either way.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • este video es muy bueno, lo he probado con mis m-520 y se le han quitados todos los ruidos.

  • Thanks for posting!

Where'd you get the pedal tool?

  • why didn't you just put grease in the pedal casting and re-insert the bearing cartridge. The new grease pushes the old grease out and everyone is happy.
