  • Keep on contacting your congressmen and -women and tell them that you want cheney and bush to be impeached.

  • Olbermann was all over Clinton for his bullshit pardons. Oh wait, no he wasn't.

  • Bush commuted one of his own staffers! James Madison, at the Constitutional Convention, said to Impeach any President who pardoned or sheltered those who committed crimes advised by that President.

  • It is public record she was outed by Armitage. One can't be outed twice. The prosecutor knew who outed her BEFORE the investigation. No investigation (therefore no obstruction) was necessary. It was about getting someone in the White House, nothing more. Otherwise Armitage would have been charged by now.

  • Good grief, you are so misinformed. It is public record that she was outed. Libby admitted under oath that he learned Plame's status from Cheney. He failed to be more helpful and perjured himself because to "out" a CIA agent is treason, and he has been nicely compensated for his obstruction.

  • Do some research on what Wilson and Plame were involved with at the time, what Wilson said publicly about the administration. It might help clarify the motive for you.

  • Yes they did out her,and to do was treasonous under the law.

Now Bush has commuted Libby's sentence. Interesting choice, because he acknowledges Libby's guilt on the perjury and obstruction charges, but just claims to have decided to that he deemed the SENTENCE to be "excessive."

  • What you don't seem to get is that Libby did not LIE to protect anyone because no one needed protecting. No one at the White House leaked the name, especially Cheney. We are not even sure that leaking the name was a crime anyway since it was common knowledge she worked for the CIA.

  • Libby did not lie to protect anyone because no crime was even committed. No one in the White House outed Plame. The prosecutor KNEW who outed here but pursued Cheney and Rove anyway.

  • Have always done my own research and thought for myself, hon.

I think our disagreement is you do not seem to think that lying to protect the person(s) who really outed Plame is a crime. I do and clearly the court did.

If lying and obstruction were not prosecuted, then all guilty parties would just get themselves a fall guy,and since the fall guy didn't "really do anything wrong" there would be no consequences at all,nor motivation for said putz to ever tell the truth. Not a healthy idea.
