I tested three ways to bake and brown French bread in my SOS Sport Solar oven. If you love French bread you're going to love the flavor even more when you cook it in a solar oven. If you can cook it in a conventional oven you can cook it in the SOS Sport Solar oven. http://SolarOvens.org

  • Why not drill a 5 or 6mm hole in the top and bottom?

Self venting - but only slightly.

  • @callmeshane303 Thanks for commenting. You certainly could. I just hate drilling holes into things.

  • why couldnt you build it to your specifications,,,,,, i will at some point after seeing this, right now, build a two sided one,one that will have a divider and 2 doors, plywood framing painted black, insulated glass panels, two sided, you can easily cook the whole meal, great ideas ,thanks for sharing

  • @123milkbone Sounds like a great DIY project. Please video it so we can see how it goes.

  • Great videos! Have you compared this oven with the Global Sun oven? We're trying to decide between the two. The Global Sun oven seems to get hotter, but this one will hold two pots.

  • @TheDenisedrake I have compared them, a lot. The reasons I bought the SOS oven: It won't burn food. It has more room to cook things inside. It works great without using the reflectors. It is very stable when it is windy outside. It costs a lot less. The opposite of these reasons is why I did not buy the Global oven. I hope that helps.

  • @LDSPrepper Does this SOS sport oven leave any plastic taste in your food at all? I've read reviews on the Global solar oven and this seems to be a major problem..... Great videos!

  • and build a revolving pedistal, moblie or fixed in ground, or even use an old bar-b-que frame,,,,,

  • @ThePatriotGunner It was quite good. Thanks for your comment.
