Dallas Dog and Disc Club held a Fun Match Toss and Catch and Gorgeous received first place in the intermediate division... second if she was entered in advance.
Handsome received a total score of 17 points and only .5 points away from third.
Both dogs did great!
Thanks to Billy Hasty for showing me how to throw a disc.

Thanks! You have 60 seconds and the further away they catch it, the more points. If they catch it in the air it's .5 points.
If Gorgie would have caught the one she had no points, she would have had the highest score for the day... but then you can what if everything to death.

Way to go Gorgeous! We had lots of fun today even if I couldn't throw a frisbee to save my life! Rascal says she showed up all of her border collie brothers and sisters by being the only one to bring home a prize (3rd in Novice).
Hey, did you see that my dad and Ruby would have WON the advanced division (with the adjusted score even)! WOW! Way to go Ruff Mutt BCR alumni! :)

Congrats & cool video! We did our first UFO show last weekend and it was so much fun. How did you teach Gorgeous to bring the disc right back, quick release and run straight out? We had to struggle to get her to drop the disc and then she circled behind before running out (she's not a BC, either! LOL). Thanks for any tips!

I reeled her in until I felt confident she would bring the disc back. I had another disc to give to her, so she would release the first one while I say the release word. I don't have her cirle around because she doesn't look back at the disc and runs forward. She not as fast as the disc, so I let her run a bit before my release.
