Great Iranian song from an Ahmad Shamloo poem, performed by me (this morning)
my translation (still working on it!):
One night, a moonlit night
The moon comes into my dreams
Takes me away
alley to alley, street to street
Through a grape garden
Through a plum garden
Valley to valley
Desert and desert
That place at night
Behind the grove
An angel comes out
Scared and nervous
Puts her feet
In the moonlit water
Combs her precious hair
One night, a moonlit night
The moon comes into my dreams
Takes me away
To the end of the valley
That place in the night
One and alone
An amazing tree
Proud and full of hope
With care stretches out its arms
But rather than fruit
At the end of its leaves
Hangs the stars
Which drip down on water like rain
One night, a moonlit night
The moon comes into my dreams
Takes me away
Frees me from prison
Like a butterfly
All by itself outside
Going to the place
In the dark of the night
Till the desert morning
The dead of the night are calling
With lambs blood they cry
Through the streets
To the circle
A politician
A man with a grudge
Are you drunk or sober?
Are you asleep or awake?
We have drunk and been sober
The dead of the night call
We have slept and been awake
The dead of the night call
At the end of the night
The moon comes out
At the tip of the mountain
Above the street
At the top of the valley
An animal goes by
One night, a moonlit night
Like if RISE sent you here! (lol, you just made a subscriber, I told you I want more!)
This song got me captivated from start to end. It sounded really profound, and its pretty relevant considering the lies the US MSM is trying to push about Iran.
Did you got featured on the DailyPaul when you first released Rise? Maybe you could make a comeback, cause you deserve Waaaaay more Views. Just saying
