I was temporarily assigned duty the Coast Guard cutter Forward during the earth quake in Haiti for 32 days. I created this video as a form of morale for the crew but it ended up becoming their welcome aboard video for new Ensigns at the academy. The cutter Forward is a 270-foot medium-endurance cutter homeported in Portsmouth, Va. The crew was amazing and I would gladly sail with them any day. i was thinking about joining the coast gaurd...im not really interested in going to alaska, so would it be possible to stay within your state? example; i live in nyc so would i be able to stay in ny?.....thanks
