I have read some of Calvin's work, I agree mostly with him. But I will not say that a True Arminian is not a Christian. At the end of the day, we both say the same thing to the lost person; Repent and Believe. Jacobus Arminius looked up to Calvin and Augustine. Anyone saying that he was of Pelagian roots is not correct, he rebuked Pelagius. I believe that we must read Arminius' writings to determine what Arminianism teaches as well as we must go to Calvin for True Calvinism. God Bless!

I must say that history has been twisted here. James (Jacobus) Arminius was a godly Christians man. While he was not a Calvinist, he held many things in common with the Calvinists. Many of Arminius' followers were not teaching what he taught, and Calvin's successor, Beza was very Hyper-Calvinistic regarding Election, Predestination, Grace and the Atonement. Calvin was not like Beza at all. Arminius did not have a chance to present his theology. Just a tip; Arminius upheld Total Depravity

I am still confused... either, or seems to come in to view. WHY can't it be both. IF Adam and woman brought sin into the world thur their disobedience. THEN why do we have to choose evil instead of good THEIR eyes were "open" and they still heard GOD...would it not stand to reason that we also hear GOD. IF He forces Himself on people to make them "HIS children" would not His force be view as RAPE..Force Love is Rape. DO you not think that HE wants us to come to Him willing?
