@unrested Would it come across strange if you picked up the local dialect in the same way as it would appear strange for a japanese girl living in America to learn her American accent from, oh say heavy New York or New Jersey accents? Have you ever come across these problems with having lived in Osaka or have you heard stories from other Gaijin who've experienced this?

Was surprised to hear you got married only 3 years after arriving in Japan. Is your wife the first woman you had a relationship in Japan?

How tall is your wife and how tall are you? XD
-
@unrested 147 cm? Ta fuck.... that's 4'8....

About the facial expressions with bad news, do you think it might be because they're generally modest, and even then, don't want people to feel anguish for them?

Like the videos. How many would it cost to go to Japan, roughly, for like 2-3 weeks and what time of the year is a good time?

5:25 sound of high heels?
would be hillarious to let a giant muscular guy learn japanese from a 10 year old girl.

@cookiepwnsU well i am not big and muscular but i am alot bigger than most people here. i.e. i tower over my wife and her entire family who are all about 147cm. still my japanese is only about JHS kid level so imagine i come across as like a big dumb lug who has a big body and a simple mind. like slingblade or that guy from the goonies.

About the expressions...same happend to me.
One japanese girl, which I talked to, said she lost her baby (miscarriage) with a perfect smile on her face...it's hard to react in times like that.

its confusing isnt it? sometimes when it happens i question if i am hearing the story right because the two dont match up. there are still so many things i am getting use to here. even after living here for 3 years.
