@thegoldrisk Anderson Silva is not ducking Machida. There is a difference between "ducking" an opponent and refusing to fight against a close friend. I don't think it's because he's afraid, but because fighters are required to promote their fights and in the ensuing trash talk, media spins, etc, their friendship might end. There is a big difference between fear of an enemy and respect for a friend, and calling Silva a coward is ridiculous. He's proved time and again that he is one of the best.

@Jaywizzz are you sure man? I'm with you, I don't like Silva or Jones, and Jones really needs to learn some humility but I don't think Silva would be able to do that. Not just because of size, wrestling is the problem. Silva would have an extremely, almost impossible time avoiding getting takedown and smashed on the ground. Jones trains with Jackson so you know his gameplan will be to take the safest route, just like against machida, when he got outstruck, he went into safety mode, same here

@bulldogs19to not to mention his wrestling weakness. Anderson has terrible takedown defense and cannot get back up when he gets taken down. That's always been a problem for him, people don't like to admit it, but he has a huge weakness in wrestling. In my opinion, if you have a weakness that big it doesn't matter what your record is or how good you are at what you're good at. the best p4p or all time guy has to be close to invincible & anderson is not. GSP, Aldo, JDS, etc are more well rounded

@cricka09 of course it's ducking. refusing to fight anybody is ducking. If the UFC and MMA world wants it to happen, it doesn't matter how the first fight ended, refusing to take the fight, and extending time off by lying about an injury cannot be anything else, it's textbook ducking. He's smart and he doesn't want to go out of his career with a loss, & make no mistake, he is very likely to lose. Don't be blinded just bcuz you're a fan, Chael is the perfect fighter to beat him

@wheresmyrematch he choked out machida unconscious but to be fair, Machida practically let him do it. other than I don't think he would KO silva like this either. you gotta remember though how much bigger jones is than any 205er, let alone Anderson. Then you gotta take into account that Jones has good wrestling and has taken down fighters with great takedown defense, something we know Anderson does not have. I hate to say it because I really hate Jones & his attitude but he would beat Anderson

@GE969 that could be true for some, but one thing you're forgetting is Machida is a true martial artist, he has too much discipline for a fight to ever affect their friendship from his end, also Anderson is a grown man, he's very mature and intelligent, it's ridiculous to think that their friendship would be affected one way or the other, that's not why Anderson said no. He said no because it's not the best career move, a guy like Machida poses huge problems for him, being friends is irrelevant

Since when has Jon Jones ever knocked anyone out unconscious? Let alone the p4p greatest fighter in the world LOL...

yeah , this looks about right! ones getting better and one is just getting older.

@cricka09 Chael is the number one contender for Silva! Dana White even said so himself. Dana is gonna make it happen next summer he said.

@bulldogs19to beating somebody and then not wanting to fight them again is not ducking chael needs to get in line he already submitted to anderson

@ThaPremiere1 Silva is not even close to one of the best. If you duck people you cannot be counted as one of the best.
silva and anderson train together, they fight all the time.
