  • My dad and i are having trouble with keeping the fins on the rocket at such high speeds. How do youi guys do it?

  • @noxnflame We use a an epoxy adhesive called aeropoxt and its an amaizing, strong adhesive another helpfull thing to do is drill about 3 smalls holes in the fin root to give it extra strengh and make shure you snad the outside of the motor tube too. What kind of kit(s) have you built?

  • @allen2688 well we build our own rockets from blu-tube boyght at apogee components but we are making our own engines too. The engines so far have too much thrust so the rocket will most likely become obliterated mainly caused by the fins ripping off. What materials are the fins?

  • @noxnflame we make them out of 2.9mm fiberglass

  • Where can I learn to do stuff like this, making my own rockets and rocket motors? My only experience has been with Estes and Aerotech, but I want to do some really big rockets. By the way, I hate it when people walk in front of a camera.

  • @lordwulf This is what they call High Powered Rocketry, You can find a lot of information on the N.A.R. (National Association Of Rocketry) Website @ NAR.oorrrgggg You can also find kits at Madcowrocketry.ccccoooommmm Also at Whatsuphobbies.cccoooommmm I dont know what part of the country your in, but there are Rocket clubs all around the country you can find them on the NAR site.

  • Way to Go! I just did my L1 and L2 flights last Sunday. It was a lot of fun.

  • You should go overboard and load the thing ENTIRELY with fuel. Why does no one do that?

  • Very nice!! What is the length and diameter of your rocket and how heavy is it wthout the motor? From what I see from your second flight in the video, it is not impossible for your rocket to get up there almost at the speed of sound with the J570W, which gives a max. thrust of 1142.5 Newtons (257 lbs or 116.6 kg).. good luck on your next flight

  • that was alomst gonna break the soud barrier!!!

  • JB weld is exspensive but its the answer for not looseing fins, on the inside of a tough the wall fin put fellets attached to the other fins by ether ply wood or fiber glass sand very good before applying the JB Weld the fins will never come off, let dry for 24 hours, some epoxies won't hold if the tube is coated with flame retarent inside must be sanded.! hope this helps! if your tube is fiber glass use glass resin and cat hair, thats choppted up fiber glass, coat inside tube with retardent

  • nive job!! 2 certs in 1 day awesome! Good luck with level 3
