The title of the episode says it all, and sets the tone for the next decade. Archie and Edith return home from church to find their daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Mike, have planned a surprise party. However, the proceedings break down into an argument between Archie and the "Meathead."

  • I am black and i love this show . It pokes fun at sterotypes. This show addressed issues that plague society still to this day.

  • I can't stand it when "MEATHEAD" goes on his liberal rants.

  • @thomalero, very true. Great comment.

  • In the Italian version "meathead" was dubbed with "testone", literally "big head" but in a denigratory tone. But it's surely a bad translation.

  • The sound needs to be even softer. It needs to be SO MOTHERFUCKING IMPOSSIBLE TO HEAR that only fennec foxes can goddamn hear it.

  • @8cire ...yes, very sexy!

  • Love the mini skirt. Sexy as hell!

  • @stonedimaculate1983

And what makes an American and American according to you way of thinking?

  • @emmers57

I think I may have heard that before, but I do not remember where. Do you know what exactly she did not like about it?

  • @Davetacular45

I see what you mean! Blurting out, "his uncle got it for him" took a lot of guts on her part! Nice going Edith!

  • this is one of my fav shows. i always wondered what it would be like if they would ever put this to a movie. like they do almost everything else. i wonder if Rob Reiner would direct. Unfortunatly the only actor i i believe that should ever fill Carroll O Conners's shoes as Archie is in his 70s now (Nicholson) so with that they may just have pass this by. i had this idea for 10 years but now it's too late.

  • @thomalero u noticed then that george is archie in black. " i aint never set foot in no honkey house and like hell im gona start at the bottom of the heap"
