This is just an overview of what I covered in the "Intro to Mixer" series . I hope this helps everyone who watches this video. I apologize that I was rambling on.

  • G'day mate we run a yam mg16/6fx desk I want to know exactly how to set a monitor mix with this, we use the snake sends 2 to the dbx and 2 for monitors we use 2 monitor and we are a trio.

  • @bobkats Thanks for watching. Let me look into it for you and I'll get back to you. I'll take a look at the manual for your mixer. If you have any other questions, please ask away. I would be happy to help. Thanks again for watching

  • @bobkats Ok, If I understand you correctly, If you need the same mix in the two monitors it's easy. You will go from the prefade aux send of the channel you want in the mix to the aux out to the amp, from the amp to your monitor speakers. Now, you're lucky because your mixer has a button that makes you aux 2 prefade as well. You can now use that for a different monitor mix. Whatever channel you want to hear in the mix, you just turn up the aux send that goes to the amp, and then to the speakers.

  • can you show me how to get your own monitor mix from the stage(mix it your self from the stage.and how to set it up...

  • @tbraswell2 Have you watched any of my other videos? If not, please watch those first. If you have, let me know specifically what kind of set up you have and I'll try to talk you through it. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe to my channel.

  • Hi Sir, I have some questions for you sir. Our band has a yamaha MG166C. We have 3 guitar, bass, 2 vocals and 4 for drums in XLR input. Our main concern is about connecting stage monitor from our mixer. We try to use the "monitor out" using TRS phone jack from mixer to the powered monitor but it gives a loud feedback on it. The 1, 2 and 3 AUX send of our mixer is already used connect to our effects. Can you please help us what is the best thing to do in order to it right connecting with monitors.
