Best Shots Review Vlog Week 14: One More Day

In this blog, I spew bile about Amazing Spider-Man #545, the end of the One More Day event. 'Nuff said.

Many are upset about how things went in this "Brand New Day" storyline.

Ok.

Know then that there was an even bigger load of shitty story twist that upset fans even more...it was when we learned under the stupid Straczynski era that Gwen had fucked with Norman Osborn, got pregnant and that she had already given birth to two children of Osborn's before he -as the original Green Goblin- killed her...

You do realize that Quesada was the one that forced it to be Norman Osborn's children, right? JMS wanted them to be Peter's kids, with the plan being to retcon them out of existence once Brand New Day rolled around.

So...same guy truly behind the shitty OMD was behind the shittiest part of Sins Past. :)

It's really funny, actually in a way, because all these interviews Quesada's done reveal a lot about his character. He apparently has issues, not only with aging, but with marriage as well, and quite possibly with women in general. To the point where he misses that "deal with the devil=bad", and completely against Peter's character.

The fact that after they brilliantly decide to attribute her two children was only the first of the enormous loophole - and the most bearable of course.

Yes - I could have lived knowing that the offspings were Peter's. What nobody digested though was the fact that they were Osborn's which made the fact a thousand times worse.

The fact is that the "Sins Past" story arc was wrong from the very beggining. I don't know for how many years you're into the Spider-Man stroyline but the old Amazing books up to Gwen's Death showed clearly that never was she pregnant nor had any children.

For those of you wandering what I 'm talking about, go read the story arc "Sins Past".

One of the good things about "Brand new day" is that Spider-Man will now be pubblished only as the "Amazing" series go and thus avoiding all the much confusion that's been bugging everybody's mind for years now with more than 10 ongoing Spider Man series from time to time.
