Hamza Yusuf implores the audience to consider the major crisis of our time: the disillusion of the human soul itself. He then presents a program based on a hadith in which the Prophet (P) said, "I was sent to perfect noble character." In this context, he outlines the two primary concerns of the Muslim, the heart and the limbs, and the need to follow in the footsteps of the Prophet (P) by utilizing his divinely-inspired methodology to guard them.

  • @hagar1990 His point is that in comparison to what our scholars have already delved into, it is useless and not beneficial. I admit he sounds too harsh though and i believe he relaxed his views on this nowadays.

  • @zedsj Dont get me wrong, I respect sheikh Hamza Yusef but I just dont agree with him on this point. Because you can study for a "piece of paper" with good intentions even in psychology (see my previous post). It's not allright if somebody calls it "nonsense", it's just denigrating to talk about it in this manner (1:01:21 min). So please explain me how his personal experience in college is relevant in drawing general conclusions about studying sciences other than medicine and engineering?

  • @hagar1990 SHeykh Hamza studied several years to be a qualified nurse so i don't think you understood his point fully

  • @risbysarwar That is a variation of a famous poem that the people of medina sang to welcome the prophet to their city en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Tala'_al_Badru_'Alayna

  • what was that thing they were chanting in the beginning and why?

  • Islam on demand.

Jazakallah for your work, may Allah (SWT) reward you

  • Salamualikum everyone, could you please explain the Maulid, how do we do it wright way.

Do we have to do it?
