I dislike the R62 big time. The redbirds should have been all preserved cause the R62s are dirty and filled with Grafitti while most of the redbirds which were 22 years older than the R62s were more decent. Wish the redbird was back. Good memories...

the reason they threw em away is because most of them had at least 1 door open when the train was moving

The Redbirds were the heart and soul of all the Queens subway riders. Taking them out was retarded.

Atleast we dont have rusty cars with peeling paint. Silver looks shiny. Shiiiiiny. it'll hypnotize the tourists

Cool! 5 Stars!

That was my favorite thing about the redbirds. I went to elementary/junior HS in downtown Brooklyn and have many fond memories of racing down to the 2 train at Borough Hall, getting in the first car with my friends and looking out that front window. It was like our own ghetto ass rollercoaster, lol!

these were vintage trains

I liked these cars because they are very short in length and had windows in the front you can see through. They almost could have been trolley cars.
The preserved redbirds at that trolley preservation place seem quite at home if you ask me.
