From the James Bond film, The Spy Who Loved Me. Donnie Rankin plays, Nobody Does It Better, on the 4/26 Robert Morton Theatre Organ at the Wheaton Fox Studio.

The Wheaton Fox's Robert Morton, contains 26 ranks of pipe work from various builders (mostly Morton, with Kimball, Wurlitzer and Meyer for flavor) all controlled by the beautifully restored Lowe's Kings Wonder Morton Console.

Filmed using a Canon Vixia, audio recorded with a Zoom H2. Video assembled in Adobe Premiere.

  • Is this based on a transcription or an original arrangement? I can't get enough of this version.

  • @Karlfalcon It's an original arrangement, based off of a Fakebook! :)

  • @bukinga next time I'll try not to play in 8-bit...

  • @bukinga videogame's music?!

  • VERY nice. Smooth arrangement very well played. The vox and string stops on this instrument are just luscious.

  • Great, and in fact, better than the George Wright version.

  • This is truly amazing and I wish more of these magnificent instruments had been preserved. They are expensive to maintain but the sound is evocative of another age. Bravo, young man! Billyjam.

  • Cool Bond on a Theater Organ!

  • Anyone who comes in here and says it sounds like some stupid videogame is so rotten in their mind and heart there is no hope for them. This was magnificant. So refreshing to listen to. It brings so much joy to me. Thank you so much!

  • Very nice rendition Donnie and I liked the registrations. While I don't play, at least not well when I did, there are ties to the "Mighty Mo" at Atlanta's Fox. Theater Organ rules!

Best to you and your association with Jelani.

  • Quite beautiful man; I've always preferred RM over Wurlzr. & have restored many of each. Problem w/ RM was one of winding. They stayed, somewhat, in Murray Harris mode on the winding. Obviously, this organ has proper & creative winding !

    Very Very Nice

  • @virtualpoboy I do believe I would like to hear that!
