60163 'Tornado' and 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' at York Station, Saturday 25th April 2009

an absolutly brilliant day out filming with the lads, not only did i see 2 steam locos, 1 a mega star and the other a new loco for me, but i met one of the Team from my Favourite TV show, Top Gear!

at the start of the video we see New Build A1 pacific 60163 'Tornado', taking part in possibly the Biggest Race ever for the BBC's Headline motoring programme Top Gear. on board the Locomotive was Un-expectedly one of the 3 presenters Jeremy Clarkson, who i thought would be the last person to support a steam engine consiring his views on cars and trains. we see 60163 slipping violently on its depature at york, does that mean he had a touch of the regulator, who knows!

in the second part of the video we see a New Locomotive for me, GWR Castle class 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' on a railtour from Tyseley - York return named 'The City of York', we see the loco arrive at York, Turn in york Triangle, being service and finally leaving the station on the return to the west midlands, 5043 is truely a magnifianct engine, spotless, stunning paint work and a very loud bark thanks to its Double Blast pipe

a fantastic day out at york, good luck to the team a'board 60163!

Note: if anyone from the BBC is watching, this video was not uploaded to Spoil the climax of the TV show, believe me if it did i wouldn't have made it, i am a huge fan! it was uploading in the respects for train enthusiasts and well wishers for the event, no money was made from the use of the clips!
