Hopefully she always keeps an EpiPen on hand. Anybody with peanut and/or tree nut allergies, as well as allergies to other foods like, fish, shellfish, eggs, milk, as well as things like bee stings, and even latex should have an Epinephrine auto injector (aka and EpiPen) on hand at all times, as it can save your life. I developed an allergy to peanuts and tree nuts this past year, and keep an EpiPen on hand at all times!!
My daughter has a peanut/tree nut allergy. I have been reading books to her from FAAN, also go grocery shopping with the same explainations given in the video. She is 4 1/2 and is amazing at keeping herself "safe" when i am not around. By asking the adults she is with if the food they are giving her is safe or she make sure she reminds them of her peanut allergy. the most important thing is to constantly explain to your children. they listen, they know.
Good video. Just found out my daughter has one. She is three. Good to hear the ideas for teaching my child about it. Don't know how to explain yet in a way she understands.
