We pull back the curtain for a glimpse of the Verizon Interoperability Forum, where Internet architects gather to discuss what's needed to deliver the bandwidth we'll need in the years to come.

A select group of Verizon technologists and their counterparts from several key vendors and partners gather at these forums to ensure interoperability of equipments (virtual handshakes between hardware and software, if you will). They think about and discuss the future and take what they learn back to their workshops and labs to come up with solutions. The development of these behind-the-scenes solutions are the foundation for the borderless lifestyle.

  • @swingf These fuckers skip Little Italy, and Chinatown. and went north of E. Huston St. VZ always comes up with some stupid excuses so they could skip area. Oh, the building is too old.. No, is not. Why the fuck are there trains under us then. smh.

  • @swingf "So if you want VZ in your neighborhood, this is a good thing." They couple of CO in NYC manhattan. And I'm still stuck with ADSL 7.1Mb. They can't even give me fios. I am only couple of blocks away from any CO. VZ is load of shit. Their DSL network is beyond old and not even upgrading it any more. They dont care about land phone user. All they care about Cell Phone and the 1% that is rich thats why they get fios. VZ Fios is picking and choosing. Rich place deploy, poor place skip.

  • Most of the people commenting have no idea what they are writing. This is for the main backbone of the network, not what you would receive at your house. I'm on Fios and love it. I'm on a 35/35 megabyte plan and I get a little better than that most of the time, but without the big pipe (like a terabyte) you can't grow the system. So if you want VZ in your neighborhood, this is a good thing.

  • Perhaps they should not focus on getting such insane speeds that nobody will ever require.....How about focusing on proper customer satisfaction/support?

  • @Erdog8000

Son I am from your state..and believe me when I say...just...fucking....stop

  • Verizon is actually the biggest piece of shit ever, I bet you this video is fake, on nearly a 1 mbps plan, DL on average 50kbps. theyr so shit, they cannot provide proper service at all. You are lucky if you download at 300kbps with these people. they constantly cannot resolve their issue. Fuck em...wait this is your channel? hey fuck you. I got out of a chat with them, they close at 1 AM, so the rep DCs at exactly 1 AM without notifying me

  • I'm still stuck with Verizon DSL 7.1MB/s. For like 5 years now. Not close enough for 15MB/s. >.<

  • Please verizon can you get internet in my state I beg you I live in Saugus,Massachusetts

  • I see the only way verizon can push there fois service is stop putting out ont and stb to the cust house and have the company that make the device like cisco build a router that will do everything. We have to use the fiber cable that is going to our cust to the highest point and the ont stop it.
