You know if it was just the young yuppies falling through the cracks, I would agree, but we are losing people that spent a lifetime working and have nothing to show for it, mostly because of the corruption. I have a friend who lost 2 retirement incomes because of the graft, one because the union bosses stole the members money, another because an insurance company cheated her and her husband (and it a legitamate company that you would never suspect).

I care and I hate to see people fall through the cracks of our system. I don't wish china any ill will, I just want america to regain an industrial base (or any good alternative). We are losing the middle class fast. They talk about how much america owes, well tell me what did the american people receive back for all this debt? nothing, we don't even have as good of a safety net as europe, and we are giving money away as aid? Or is it tribute?

Most people in the US are only a few paychecks from being on the streets. If you have money saved, how long would it last if you had a major crisis? A major accident? Even if you have insurance the med bills could still break you. A job loss, you could hold out a bit longer but not much. Own your own business? How long will you stay a float if no one is buying things. We are in trouble in america, and honestly I don't see any way out.

you can't own anything. it's even most ignorant is to believe that you own a house that you've sold for money (mortgage). somehow people won't ever get it. don't take credits. it's easy. if you stop buying stuff you don't need, you'll never need a credit. and you'll be astonished about how little you need to have a good life.
