Great point about why the hell have the Ohio Players not yet been hoisted into the R&R hall of fame. They have so many of their tunes covered so often. That alone is a tribute from other professionals to the timelessness of their tunes. And agreed - Sugarfoot has to be top 5 baddest assed MF'ers to walk the earth. Pure cool from the 70's on. Remember that double neck guitar he used to rock?....ie, on Midnight Special.

@emill61 No question I love Sugar Foot I'm 46 so back then I was only like 9-12 when their music was poppin.I love Honey, Lets Love, Heaven Must be all their slow joints..he is a master of the ad-lib. I always tried to make my fro' like his in the front hahaha! I didn't get to see him until 1992 at the first Stone Soul Picnic in Baltimore....

Sugarfoot has always been underated. A smooth and crafty blues playing machine, with few equals in style.
Man, these cats were bad back in the day!
Of course, the ususal "Demons" caught up with them, jsut as it has with most groups, save a few.
