Brian Paddick Book Launch

This was filmed in a quiet corner at Daunt Books in Marylebone High Street, London W1. The interviewee is Brian Paddick, Liberal Democrat candidate for London Mayor. The interviewer is a correspondent for Reuters using a clever new kind of camera that enables him to film short video clips and, presumably, file them to the Reuters site at rapid speed (or something like that). Both men did their job well, but the task demanded both of them speak in a strange, stilted manner that made me giggle. The sound isn't great. That's because behind me - as you can hear - was a small group of hacks and politicians celebrating the launch of Paddick's autobiography. But I hope you get the general picture of the weird things that happen nowadays during election campaigns
