Workers removed 375 nuclear fuel assemblies from the Fast Flux Text Facility (FFTF) and placed the material in dry storage casks. The reactor was operated at the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington State between 1982 and 1992 to test nuclear fuel and produce medical isotopes for medical and industrial research.
