Fraisa High Perfomance Carbide end mill machining 1045 (CK45) with a 1/2" P5979 NX-FP series and an 8.5 cubic inch per minute metal removal rate. WOW!

  • Seeing that there is no chatter (except for the little squeak at the beginning) it might actually last quite a few parts before needing replacement. Chatter is what really kills carbide tools.

  • Now that's how machining should be done, done of this coolant crap. Just compressed air blowing chips out the way. Nice high speed and feeds to match, if only I was allowed to do that at work.

  • No way! that carbide must be like 100-102 Hrc.

    Can't be legit.

  • I'll say WOW, if you do it with 1045 steel

    The color blue, and brown means your at the max speed of cutting. If darker colors show up; example, purple or, black. then the item or, bet maybe at risk.
