  • Where was the flag you took a picture of?

  • Long gone :) Probably either stolen or taken down by employees because it was obsolete, I just thought the remaining sign was neat

  • Where was the sign? I wonder what they do to signal trains to stop now. I know they have wayside signals but I wonder how they override them if necessary (I'm guessing that it was for when someone fell on the tracks or somerthing like that)

  • I bet that station attendants still have red flags if they need them. The sign is on the wall on the outbound platform on the end of the tunnel to Park St. You can see it on the side of the shot at 0:25.

  • And they carry radios so they could tell all trains in that area to stop

  • The Orange Line 01200s seem so much more unsafe to me than the retired 0600s of the blue line. I don't know why. Maybe the Third rail???

  • @1987poppunk haha ya

  • The orange line is definitely the sketchiest line haha.

  • Damn! I remember those flags, but hadn't thought about them in years and years. Cool.

  • where on the platform is that flag??

  • they could just throw someone's cat on the track and the yowl would signal the train to stop
