This is a review of the NEO.GEO classic now available to download on Nintendo Wii via the Virtual Console

This is a review from the perspective of this being a VC game and not a review of the NEO.GEO original.

  • hey! there is no way to get more credits in the game? :o

  • @DEIVION212 Thanks again for clearing that up. So I guess the only NeoGeo games that I ever buy on VC are Metal Slug 1 and maybe sometime MS2.

  • Pretty sure MS2 has it, never played Spin and I don't recall the option to do it on Blue's Journey.

  • @DEIVION212 Oh, that's a shame with Magician Lord. The game looks so good otherwise.

What about Metal Slug 2, Spin Master and Blue's Journey?

  • A couple but not the ones you'd want it on, things like Baseball Stars and King Of The Monsters I believe have them, but Magician Lord requires you to beat the game in one sitting (yet the PS3 version allows saves annoyingly, I fail to see why the VC can't).

  • @DEIVION212 Are there other NeoGeo Games on the VC that allow saves? I would find that very interesting indeed.

  • No probs, it's annoying that MS is one of the few VC NeoGeo games that allows saves.

  • @DEIVION212 Thanks for your reply, that helps me very much. Saving your progress is even better than unlimited continues because you can quit the game and continue later. Looks like a great game. Will be picking this up with one of my next points cards.

  • Apologies, 4 continues.

  • Well as I say in the vid you get 5 continues but you can save and get another 5, so say you lose all 5 on level 3, save, boot it up again and bam, level 3 begins with 5 continues.

Thanks, glad you liked it :)
