  • I wonder what artists from a few hundred years ago would think of corporations doing these kinds of things nowadays.

I dunno, just a random late night thought after hearing you out on this.

  • I bet they would be surprized, and wanting gto know where their checks are? :-)

  • The money grabbers are hard at it. Disney made the first move, so now Warner is retaliating. Funny, isn't it, that they've owned DC for 50 years, and are just now making a point of it? :-)

  • Yep, it took Disney buying Marvel to make Warners attempt to get serious with DC. Thanks for the comment!

  • hi Matt,

thanks for the info. i really miss your "Quick Draw" vdos. I also asked you to try to make and upload tutorials for us comics fans who love to draw like professionals :)

    Regards,

  • I will be making more drawing videos in the near future, as I get the time to do so. I'm not really good at explaining how to draw, though. It is easier for me to just do it. Thanks for your kind comments!

  • Thanks for the kind comments! I will be doing another "Hawes Draws" at some point when I get the chance. I also have a new "Happy Show" that should be up by the weekend.

  • It could also be a simple matter of coincidence. DC/Warner Bros. really started to take a serious look at the future of their characters on the big screen, after the success of The Dark Knight. They immediately put all their upcoming live-action features on hold to reevaluate the approach. While I have no doubt that forming DC Entertainment is a simple copycat, it looks to me to be more of a copy of what happened when Marvel was purchased by Toy Biz.
