Why do Americans always paint such a bleak picture of Africa? I am South African and we don't know what the hype was about around Oprah's school, because I believe that we have schools that can compete with the best in the world. She says she's gonna go "from hut to hut"??? What is that???

I'll begin by saying that I don't have much understanding of the world situation, but every country should have a goberment voted by the people. If this goberment fucks things up within 2 year's times, overthrow it or sit back and take it, cause that's what the majority wanted. If there is a dictatorship going on, and u think it should be stopped, than don't criticize foreign policies that include sending troops 2 another country like the Iraq war.Granted, the oil was a key factor there.

Don't b 2 harsh on the way Dave talks about Africa, he's just been guilted into refering it as a wasteland by oprah and all those, just like many Americans. It's funny that at the show she got nothing but applause, but here what she says is questioned, which is good.
