Singapore Airlines 747-400 snowy landing at New York-JFK 31.12.2009, registration 9V-SPP

Flight number SQ26, Frankfurt-New York, landing at New York JFK airport on december 31th 2009. Aircraft: Singapore Airlines Boeing 747-400, registration 9V-SPP (Star Alliance painting), Seat 43K. Very smooth flight over the Atlantic, then very cloudy and a bit snowy when landing at JFK. Great Airline, my first flight with Singapore but for sure many to follow!

Did you do the flight fully from Singapore? I might do the flight but instead of continuing to Singapore on SQ 25, I might take the 10 hour layover and explore Frankfurt. Have you been to both cities? If so, how are they?

Sorry for my late reply. The flight was from Frankfurt to NYC, I've unfortunately not been to Singapore yet. Frankfurt is worth a visit though it's not quite as big as one might think. It's got a skyline that is unique in Europe and especially in summer it's pretty cool to take a walk from the southern part of Frankfurt towards the inner city by crossing the river and see those skyscrapers- also a symbol for the financial importance of the city.

Reminds me of when we landed in JFK from Sunny Burbank<CA is snow stiom on jetlBlue.
