you have to think of the XT660X as more of a streetmoto than a supermoto and yes it is heavy compared to KTMs, Huskys and others but I went about shedding weight off the bike everywhere I could,7kg from exhaust system and so on then when I could do no more to the XT, I lost 5kg from myself, thats how much I enjoy this bike

@imattau yeah true that. Only downside with that is the weight of the thing lol. Would still be a blast none the less.

What kind of bike is yamaha xt 660, is it easy to handle etc? I have a Yamaha XT 125X and I´m about to buy XT 660X. Is it good for the first "big" bike?

@mannerstain I like it, but most people recommend a KTM or similar. If you're able, go and test ride the different models before buying. The Yamaha is the heaviest of the lot...

I had a XT660X also, upgraded to a KTM 640sm. World of difference!

@rapt0rdizzle The XT is my first SM after riding a 1000cc superbike. I think I'll be going for the Hypermotard from Ducati next. Supermoto fun with the superbike power ;)
