  • You're trying to tag a name onto this rather common place piece of police brutality in those times when at the same time men were dying in their frigging 1000's in the trenches? My God!!

  • @ZimbaZumba You have a highly valid point, there is a lot of injustices and horrible things in the world, and things could always be worst. This even was not even close to some of the horrors history has presented to us. At the same time just because someone has it harder somewhere else, or things could be worst does not mean you neglect the issues that are right in your back yard. If we as humans do not tolerate smaller injustices then we will certainly not tolerate larger ones.

  • @MacraeCain You are correct. But there is also the question of over emphasis of a problem relative to to others. Especially by trying to tag a name onto this event ie "Night of Terror" which is for politically self serving purposes.

There were over a 1000 nights of terror in WW1. 30,000 men Allied died on the 1st day of the Battle of the Somme, most were conscripted and did not have the vote.

Problems in our own back yard should not be ignored but it is question of degree.

  • @ZimbaZumba Yeah I agree with you on the over emphasis. Just for the record I did not label this event, it was already labeled in the research we did for the project.

  • I was initially skeptical of this video's historical accuracy, apparently only due to my own ignorance. After a little research, I'm saddened to report that this video is probably an accurate accounting of what these women had to endure, and the prejudices afforded these "second class" citizens.

  • @bfairbroth Thanks for your comments, I was skeptical at first when i was approached to do this video, I did some research on the subject and came to the same conclusion. Thanks for watching & commenting.

  • I can only wonder if I am willing, as these women were,to stand up against "common" belief for what is right. The least I can do is vote. Thanks MacraeCain

  • @PeacocksandLilies Its not that simple princess. You also have to keep food fresh in sub zero temperatures during the long winters, build a fire, work in the hot sun in the summer for 12 hrs, etc.

Its not as simple as "planting rows". I can tell you never hunted or farmed in your life. Probably some uppity bitch from the suburbs...

  • @fargonbastedge Gawd, you're so right! I completely overlooked the fact that women didn't even have the strength or stamina to shovel dirt for thousands of years and were too stupid to plot rows. My bad. Moron.

  • @PeacocksandLilies Has it ever occurred to you that women faced "hardships" not because of men. But because they dont hold the physical and mental ability to hunt and farm which has been the primary job for all of humanity from 10,000BC - 1880AD???

Not to mention how men would hunt a sabour-tooth tiger drag it back 5 miles over mountains to the tribe, wife and family because he "oppressed women"???

You people have a weird ideology.

  • What I dont get about you femenist, black activist, communist, anything leftist, etc. is you act like that just because white men have more money, build and invent more things, etc. That some how where holding you back? Just because one excels further doesn't mean anyone's holding you back...

I think you guys dont like to see people progress because it bruises your ego.

  • @bfairbroth pfff second class citizenry my ass. Men fight and die, build buildings, sail around the world, land on the moon, pass laws, protect society, etc

Dont you get it? Men are civilization. And its rude for women to not do any of these things, but yet try to bombard there way in the decession making process.

The problem is everyone wants to demand "equality" but noone wants to prove it.

  • @PeacocksandLilies

No need to get hysterical. The discussion is about the attribution of a name to a particular evening, when in fact thousands of men also died under appalling conditions on the same day. An FYI it was a few million not thousand that died in WW1, they had no conrtol of their destiny either.

The death of men seems to be of little consequence to you though. Also social class is more of an indication of quality of life and control of ones destiny not gender.

  • @ZimbaZumba Are you freakin' kidding ME? You're going to hold up a few thousand MEN who died in ONE war against the GENERATIONS of WOMEN who've been denied everything, including the right to have a say in their own fate? Get a clue, dude. If you wanna go number to number, I'll do it, because I will win. No one has faced more hardship throughout the ages than women.

  • that's how life work people; you don't get jack unless you protest
