There has been so much hostility and hatred between Protestants and Catholics in past centuries that it would be wonderful if that could be put behind us and we could discuss theology in a spirit of love and respect for one another. Whatever differences in belief there may be, followers of Jesus Christ should be able to walk in fellowship with each other, and listen to each other with courtesy, rather than employing name-calling and abusive attitudes.

It's telling that the time that the CC had the most power to influence the world became known as the DARK AGES!

My protestant ancestors were tortured, mutilated, buried alive, burned, etc. contrary to every biblical scripture on how we are to treat others, especially "enemies" or those who harm us.

"Do not repay evil for evil" comes to mind!

@VATICANTVNEWS The Bible's cannon was put together by Catholic bishops in the year 325 at the First Counsel of Nicea and they also published the Nicean Creed... If you don't trust the Catholic Church then you can't trust the Bible either since it was picked out by Catholics.

I don't see anywhere in the Bible where it states that the Bible is the final authority of faith. The Apostle's taught otherwise.
