Harry Potter Book and the Half-Blood Prince - TV Intro (fanmade)

Sorry I kept everyone waiting. My life's been in a general state of flux with relocating to California and several other things coming up, so I've had to shake the cobwebs out of my system just to get back into editing, though I know that's hardly an ironclad excuse. But I finally pulled this project off the back-burner for you guys. If I hadn't got this done before the first Deathly Hallows trailer went live, I would have been crushed. I'll probably make a habit of posting smaller, less ambitious projects just to stay sharp.

I for one tried really hard not to re-read any of the sixth book in the series, so I wouldn't get too attached to any scenes that wouldn't be in the film adaptation so that I could enjoy the movie on its own merits. For the most part I think it worked, but once you've read any of these books, it's hard to forget 'em. Half-Blood Prince is overall a pretty subdued story; sure there's a great Quidditch b-story, and the threat of war with the Death Eaters happening mostly off-page, but a great deal of the story beats are simple dialogue scenes, with teen romance shenanigans among the three leads, Harry working to build a rapport with Slughorn, and Harry and Dumbledore using the Penseive to create a psych-profile of Voldemort.

UPDATE: OMG, the Deathly Hallows trailer is up. That was close!

@mcjwserenity I honestly don't know what I'm going to do for Deathly Hallows, though I'm thinking seriously about going back and creating alternate intros for some of the earlier books in a different format to suit DH better.

I just watched all of these videos in a row, and truly realized how long we've been watching these movies. A tv series would be sooo much Harry Potter, I mean, can you imagine how many hours that would total? And I want to say that your editing skills are fantastic. It must've been difficult deciding what to keep and toss. I was very impressed. :)

@DisneyXDfull1 yeah but it's perfect for the opening so it's alowed - besides, in real tv openings they can somtimes be on the 7th season and still have a clip from season 1 in the opening - just look at charmed

Well, the two movies are going to be stylistically different, just by the cinematography alone.
