Hate to break it to you but ALL GOVERNMENTS shit on the less fortunate.. labor, tory or otherwise. Government is your only enemy in life. I'm sure that won't be clear to most people til they've microchipped anyone.. and even then people will be grateful for "saving us from the terrorists".

the tories are now new conservatives just like new labour in 1997. If we want a radical change we should vote for another party to keep tories and labour out. Not the BNP or UKIP or the lib dems but that doesn't leave us with much choose.

Doesn't really matter who you choose. The UK will still be a fascist police state.

But you have to admit, if you are born into money, and you are in power, you'll be brought up, after never having to rely on the state for anything, with the attitude that people dont need state help, taxes should be low...etc. I think a party needs to be made up of people from all sections of society to represent all sections of society.

And she turned england around so that you could be prosperous, which it certainly was not under labour in the 70s.

err yeh and also obliterated the manufacturing industry and heaped misery on millions of people... but yeh clearly u just ignore these minor details

no, might have helped the economy, but she did it at the expense of the people. She streamlined our economy into a service industry. Now there are hardly any engineering/ manufacturing jobs here. SHe destroyed our industry. The poll tax was the final straw. She would have been booted much earlier if it wasnt for the Falklands conflict. she tried to destroy the NHS by running it down and trying to privatize it. our country is powered by finance now.

That's exactly why my family left in 1981. When we tried to make another go of it in 1990 we couldn't believe what a shithole Britain had become. I'm really angry at my fellow brits for allowing the tories AND labour to destroy our country.

That doesn't help to show Labour in a good light.
