  • such a beautiful indian island beats jamacia , bahamas etc why dosent the indian govt promote tourism here.

  • they do actually but since the islands are so small there is an ecological limit to how much tourism they can handle at once without being destroyed by over crowding. The government limits the number of tourists there every year and this has helped keep these islands pristine

  • (Also unlike Andamns or other islands where in 10 meter from land, depth is 2 km and 100 km from land, 20 km deep), here for you to sink you have to walk kilometers deep sea and lot of caves and mountains underneath and depth increase very slowly and you can dive at your favorite depth and much much more.

  • They cannot promote it as it is near to middle east-asia-US sea route, most islands are closed to foriegners and no settlement allowed there except fisherman who settled before 1950 when kerala and lakshadweep were formed. It is a heavy procedure to get permit and fishing permission. There is no coral reefs except maldives in arabian or indian ocean this part and so lot of coral fishes 6000 plus mostly aquatic and that make it an underworld paradise
