Ali Ali Oxen Free
This tune is my little tribute to the late great Ali Farka Toure who remains one of my favorite musicians. He was from Mali and influenced by American blues music which was then re-strained through his African filter. The irony was that the blues and, for that matter jazz, both came from Africa, as they were originally derived from slave work songs and spirituals. There is a common thread, a lineage, and in Mr.Toure's case, he was able to loop it around...the natural way! Music will always be the universal language even in the most tragic of circumstances. Mr. Toure always had something to say, both with his voice and his guitar. He is gone but still with us.
Also, the equipment used for this video, or any other venture in my little world, was acquired slowly...very slowly, indeed, on a school teacher's anemic salary. I am not an endorser of any kind, nor does that even hold any interest. It took a while to figure out what works best for my playing aesthetic, and considering said financial situation, the ridiculous cost of some of these things, and the foreboding research, the logistics managed to culminate, in each case, before any of this stuff became too obsolete! Still, there would seem to be more people interested in some guitar widget than watching me waffling through some known or, worse yet, uncharted territory. So then fine viewer, if you managed to watch more than thirty seconds of this video because you wanted to hear what one of the below mentioned toys can do, I hope your questions came close to being answered. If not, chances are quite good that the toys can certainly do more!

Ooh! I thought Right Train was my obvious fave, but I think this one could be a close contender. Really nice capture of a nice performance.
