The International Search Summit is a one day event dedicated to global search and social media marketing. The first International Search Summit was held in May 2008 and since then has run bi-annually in London, with additional events taking place in Oslo and Berlin.

WebCertain, an international search agency, started the International Search Summit due to a lack of coverage of global and multilingual search topics at industry events and now draws in speakers and delegates from all corners of the globe.

The International Search Summit London May 2010 took place at The Barbican Centre, London and featured sessions including mobile search in Europe, international search innovations, Global SEM strategies and international Twitter Strategies. Speakers included Greg Jarboe, Anne Kennedy, Bas van den Beld, Gillian Muessig, Jon Myers and Andy Atkins-Krüger and also featured speakers from leading global brands such as Nokia, YouTube and Hotels.com.

Book for the next International Search Summit on 28th October at http://www.internationalsearchsummit.com.

In this video Bas van den Beld, Anne Kennedy and Andy Atkins-Krüger share their highlights of the event.

Bas van den Beld is the chief editor of State of Search:

"The International Search Summit doesn't disappoint -- the quantity of international content just doesn't exist at other events and there are a lot of high recommended international speakers. I'm really enjoying the day!"

Anne Kennedy -- BeyondInk:

"This is my 5th International Search Summit and I find the events fascinating. Due to there just being one track, all attendees spend the whole day together sharing information and learning from each other. In my session I'll be covering areas such as augmented reality and alternative query input for search -- what is the future of search?"

Andy Atkins-Krüger -- WebCertain

Andy announces that Greg Jarboe was the winner of the first Medallion Speaker award. The award is voted for by the audience, as they pick the speaker they think made the best contribution to the day -- and Greg's Video Optimisation session was full of useful tips for improving video marketing.

Andy also says, "Video and Mobile were amongst the most interesting sessions today and we covered a lot of techniques that can be used to promote companies internationally and make them more successful in being found by global search engines.
It's been a great day!"
