My Blue(Cinnamon mutation) Indian ringneck, Neela. She hangs like a monkey and loves to eat Kix.
Yeah, I realize she needs her nails clipped. I simply hate putting her through the stress. She thinks the clippers are EVIL!

  • @nicollettePerfect Great question! She is never left alone for more than one day. This is because she needs fresh water, and a fresh tray on the bottom of her cage. I have one of my friends come a see her when I'm on vacation. She never was a plucker. It all has to do with the bird; they are like people--no two birds are the same.

  • Aw, she is just wonderful! :O) Loved watching this video! IMRAN-C

  • Beautiful IRN.

  • What a cutie! She makes the sweetest sounds. I'd say that her nails were fine; nail clipping is more for our own comfort than the bird's. If you have adequate natural/trimming perches in her cage then they will file down the same way they do in the wild. It's when the nail forms a shape closer to an 'O' that you should get them clipped, for they really will cut into their toes when on small perches! That might save you a few stressful clipping sessions. ;)
