  • i really enjoyed watching this video, i found it so relaxing..i just wish i was brave enough to do this myself...i always think about a wild camp but never get to do it...thanks for the video :-)

  • @neo36uk Thanks Neo,

I know how your feeling but the thought processes you need to put in place are that you are more likely to come to harm in our towns and cities. There is nothing to be afraid of in the great outdoors in the UK apart from bad weather and falling trees. Camping on private land is a thorny issue. Setup late and leave early. Leave no trace. Whose land is it anyway. Can anyone ever really own land?

  • very nice vid bro!! the only thing missing was a nice camp fire!! Daniel

  • @MyPoison77 thanks for the comment Dan,

It was a kind of stealth camp so didn't want any smoke giving my location away!

  • At about 3:35, the clump in the background, is that the remnants of a grandfather tree that the young ones came from. Is it a hemlock or maybe a spruce? I have spent the night sleeping in a homeade "sleep sac" made from a bed sheet with a sleeping bag fully under and one that I crawled into. It was very comfortable for me, however my taller cousin (75") was a little cramped in his which was the same size. Since, he has opted for a hammock with a rain fly. Seems to work. Thanks for posting.

  • Hey man, i dont really know the rules about camping out in areas in the UK as its very strict and would like to do my first camping trip using survival just using a knife and a steel cantine etc.

  • @g0vqw thats exactly what we do, we were setup on the side of a mountain in a national park, so beautiful. cant agree with you more

  • When you gonna get a proper tent?

  • Well done bro by not giving away your location, but next time make the campfire and then go round about 20 max 30 meters you cant see nothing no smells no smoke nothing i promise you a had the same fear as giving my location as well, but is dificult to located you by having a fire, more if you make a small fire and even the smoke is just not thick enough for people to see you at long distance only if are in an open area!! thanks Daniel (2morrow am going on a solo recon to the bush)
