  • Point: "..conducts electricity as well as copper."

Imagine computer circuitry, phone, cable and POWER line grids that do not fail during disasters.

Can we weave it to undersea cabling and bridge cabling?

    What's it's heat resistance?

  • @DurexDurpaneu2

Problem is that it can stretch 20% so the bullet will fly straight into you and then eventually back out again. That is if you don't strecth it first or back it up somehow, that is probably possible.

  • The two scientists actually completed their work on graphene in 2004, almost 7 years ago. Its not exactly a recent development.

  • I want body armor made out of that. Full face mask with strong shock absorbers made out of that material? Wooohaaaaa! Try to get a headshot on the guy wearing that. You'll prolly need a railgun to deal with such armor.

Can hardly wait for the new computers using that technology. Give it 5 years tops and ull have a product in your house that contains that matterial.

  • @concernedagain Actually the process is quite simple, the two scientists used cellophane tape.

  • @brambo34 I will have to investigate more. i like the free use of the word 'simply' in your sentence, smashing atoms and simply go together like quantum mechanics and easy :)

  • @concernedagain absolutely not, graphene is simply a single atomic layer of graphite.

  • bye bye nanotubes^^

  • coolll :-)

  • 100 times Stronger than steel, you can stretch it up to 20% and has other interesting properties?.....New material?...hmm, ok, i am definitely NO expert and i don't go along with a conspiracy theory but!,...doesn't this 'sound' familiar to the debris found at the area 51 roswell crash site?,...huh?
