Very well put! The "North & South" kiss is not supposed to be the kind of kiss that you exchange when you are hot and ready to make love, but the kind of kiss you exchange when you deeply care for somebody, when your heart overflows with tender feelings and you start to sensually experience this person for the first time.
Margaret does open up to Thornton - slowly, softly, sensually. It's perfect, one of the most heart melting love stories and best kisses ever.
