Another road trip memory. This one was in 1979 from Boston to Wyoming. I had to edit it just alittle, I was 1 minute over.

  • OMG @ the bug!

    I would have lost it.

    :-)

Not enough people explore their wanderlust the way you have. Myself included.

  • The bug was, indeed, gross!

I agree that people in general don't explore what life offers. I'm fortunate, born in the US, free, with parents that taught me well. I lived alone for over 20 years with a good friend base...on my wedding day I told my new wife that if I had died "yesterday" I would have died a happy man but with her it was frosting on the cake. Since then my wife, and now family of 4, have continued to do road trips to kill for...Only now they're thru Europe. Life doesn't suck!

  • Makes me wish I had gone on road trips in my younger days.....Cool.

  • Boony...these are your younger days...lol! Doesn't matter how old you are, I still go on road trips almost every year...my wife loves them!!

  • I wish you had some video or movies of the trip. Except for the motorcycles, it sounds like what I'd still like to do. My favorite pipe dream is to win the lottery and take a year-long road trip (by car) around the US and Canada. I'm 66, so that lottery had better hurry up!

  • Nice surprise, Largo...I love your videos!

This was 1979...home video was in it's infancy. I do have pictures of this trip buried somewhere.

Might I say, you don't need to win the lottery to go on great trips. Get a tent, sleeping bag, and cooking utensils, stay in state and national parks(clean, cheap, with showers). You know you're not too old for that and you'll meet some great people! The real cost is gas, and time which is well spent this way.
