First Program in Scratch

Goes over how to make a sprite in Scratch go across the screen, look like it's crossing the screen and stop at the edge of the screen. This is part of the Learning Scratch program at the www.broadcastingsunny.com website.

1. You are supose to add a block with a round top to every script 2. The (move steps block) moves in what ever direction it's pointing in so if you always want it to move 10 pixles right then say (change X by 10) (X means left and right, Y means up and down) 3.You should check out panther.

@PacmanAndRobyn - Thanks for the input PacmanAndRobyn. Your commens show that there is more then one way to skin a cat. :) I understand you can put a rounded top to show the start of a script however it is not necessary. Try it. As for moving on the x-y axis you can use the Move block or the x-y axis. If I was rotating the sprite then yes I would want to move the motion by setting x or y by say 10. This however this is a beginner program and that would be a more intermediate technique :)

this is my first intro to SCRATCH- so i appreciate this video! though it's probably just me, the part when the cat was blinking was a bit confusing for me. it seemed like the forever loop containing "walk 10 steps" and "next costume" on the second line meant it was supposed to walk 10 steps THEN next costume, but i see that it's walk 10 steps WHILE next costume? again, i realized it's probably just me that's confused since this is my first/intro, but is there a quick answer for me, please? :)
