Growing Up Falling Down is a bonus track from Paul McCartney's Chaos and Creation in the backyard. This is my FIRST effort to use actual video footage I shot instead of creating a slideshow using Googled images. I'm not sure if it works, but it was a worthwhile experiment. I was thinking of it as a video version of a watercolor painting.

The video was shot in a suburb of Seoul South Korea.

And, by the way, no filters were used when I shot this, and I did not enhance or alter the colors once I loaded the video clips into the computer. This truly is what the world looked like the day I shot the video.

  • Paul's such a trickster. He likes to hide all his very best songs from the general public. It's like he's trying to convince the world that he's not a musical genius.

  • @DaigoMoustache

Yeah... isn't that terribly annoying!?! I'm a BIG fan, and he is a "musical genius" (or, THE musical genius in my book) but as a fan... he frequently pisses me off! Why, Paul, WHY? Why are you putting on these lame Beatles nostalgia shows, touring as one-fourth of the Beatles rather than touring as one whole Paul McCartney?" AND... don't anybody bother writing to me that it's for the money... the pathology is far more complicated than all that.

  • This song is so beautiful.

    Is this mirage?

  • Thanks, I don't know what you mean by "mirage?' If you are referring to the ethereal imagery, all those colors and all that light are pure to what things looked like that day in Korea.

  • Always love this video

  • Thanks!

  • The year this b-side came out I was teaching in Incheon, which was about 40 minutes from Seoul. So my connection with this tune is conflated with my time in Korea. Amazing that you put the two together. Thanks.

  • I miss this video -- no computer but listen to this song every day and night

  • Paul writes such moving music- there's a perfect song for every mood

  • Oh! it's nice. I am the one who see 7,777 views.
