I think there's still a little chauvinism in the heavy metal community. though I haven't heard anything that made me like Bemedictum, I think it's really sad that many guys don't give Female fronted metal bands a day just because it's fronted by a chick.
Not sad because they are being prejudice, but sad because they would rather let that get in the way of listening to good music.

I agree about Ann Boleyn and Angela Gossow. There are a few more. They are both serious singers. But this girl sounds bad in this video.

To be honest... when I was there I already heard that Benedictum aren't very... "impressive" lol not to write "lousy"... well at least I tried to listen to their music, but I just didn't stand the first song and went home ('bout 10 minutes by car from there ^^)
I didn't like the music, the voice and.. I just don't need to see bouncin' boobs on a stage oo' imho she's almost a shame for good female singers like Laura Nichol (Light This City)

some girls are good in metal. Angela Gossow and Anne Boleyn are two examples of serious metal singers who are girls and who could sing in any heavy band without making them sound bad.
