@Faithierox She is trying to spread awareness about the issue so that people can be more conscious about their buying habits. I think she is saying that it can be a personal thing, it becomes personal when you actually talk to these people who have been exploited for their cheap labour, you can sympathise with them instead of remaining detached and apathetic, not caring about the issue and no doing a thing to make a difference. LA is used to illustrate a bigger picture.
The point is its illegal whether you are legal or not. They can't just do this to anybody, and they even treat Legal citizens like this. Illegals put up with it cuz they have no choice. But even legal citizens get treated this. Lousy pay, horrible environment, over-working, and also not paying workers. It happens everywhere. She's trying to open others eyes, that's all.
I understand you are "overwelmed" but your message is not getting to me. STATE what you are trying to say. Sorry to break it to you but wandering with a camera around LA on a bus filming stores and workers will not do anything. Why not go to the city labor law offices? You're video is pointless. You ramble on and on.. Most of us like NEW clothes, whether it's from the fashion district or the mall it's all sweatshops EVERYWHERE not just LA so there's no point in pointing at the fashion district.
I watched this entire video and at no point did you DESCRIBE THE PROBLEM! Seriously, it's all about how the problem is overwhelming and you're new to it and you sometimes think that there's not much you can do and its better to shop at thrift stores, ok, WHY, WHAT EXACTLY IS GOING ON IN LOS ANGELES?
I think a lot of us would be fascinated to actually know what the conditions are.
