Last time, my first Skull sculpting was a 2" clay sculpture of a Skull that I held in my hand all the time I worked on it. The clay stayed soft due to the warmth of my hands and it was hard to work on and add details.
With this second Skull sculpture, I'm using PVC pipes as Armature that is mounted on a wooden base and I'm making it a bit larger this time.

  • @huskywallAz Thanks for your comments! I would suggest to get or build a turn-table for sculpting. At then of the sculpting I brushed on Elmer's Glue which is a water based wood glue. Looking forward to seeing your sculpting! :)

  • What type of clay are you using?

  • @justynbboy I looked at my reference images for this sculpture and the "Mandible" seems to be close to the the size of my reference materials, but you may be right that it is not in the size range of an average Mandible. I appreciate your comments and kind words! :)

  • very nice mate ur good ... i would have to add only one little thing, the intersection of the jaw with the skull (dunno how its called in english) seems a bit wide don;t you think? :P other then that its perfect

  • @mycatsnameistootsie LOL... Thanks! That means a lot! :)
